“विजयी विश्व तिरंगा प्यारा, झण्डा ऊँचा रहे हमारा” नामक झण्डा गीत को 1938 के कांग्रेस अधिवेशन में स्वीकार किया गया था !
जिनकी जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में हमारी दोसर वैश्य समाज ने 11 सितंबर दिन रविवार को धूम धाम से उत्तर प्रदेश के सभी जिलों व् अन्य राज्यों की इकाइयों ने मनाया –

भारतीय दोसर वैश्य महा समिति उत्तर प्रदेश के तत्वावधान तथा प्रांतीय अध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार गुप्ता के नेतृत्व में स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी, शिक्षक, पत्रकार,झंडा गीत “विजय विश्व तिरंगा प्यारा” के रचयिता, पद्मश्री से अलंकृत श्री श्यामलाल गुप्त पार्षद जी की 127 वी जयंती, उत्तर प्रदेश में “संगठन” की सभी इकाइयों में धूमधाम से मनाई गई।
विशेष रुप से लखनऊ, कानपुर, फतेहपुर, बाँदा, उन्नाव, रायबरेली, बाराबंकी, अयोध्या, बहराइच, सीतापुर, लखीमपुर, हरदोई सहित अन्य जिलों तथा बाज़ारो में झण्डा गीत का सामूहिक गायन किया गया, तथा पार्षद जी के जीवन से जुड़े संस्मरणों को बताया गया।
लखनऊ में दोसर वैश्य भवन, धर्मशाला मातादीन रोड, सहादतगंज में प्रांतीय अध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में भव्य कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।कार्यक्रम का प्रारम्भ ईश वंदना तथा समापन झंडा गीत के सामूहिक गायन से किया गया। उसके पश्चात् माननीय शिवकुमार जी की माता जी एवं माननीय मुकेश मर्चेंट जी के पिता जी के हाल में हुये निधन पर दो मिनट का मौन रखकर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी गई।*
जयंती समारोह में बोलते हुए प्रांतीय अध्यक्ष सुनील कुमार गुप्ता ने बताया कि पार्षद जी ने स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त ना होने तक नंगे पैर रहने का प्रण लिया था। उन्होंने यह मांग की ऐसे महान स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी की मूर्ति राजधानी लखनऊ में स्थापित की जाए तथा झंडा गीत को पूर्व की भांति पाठ्यक्रम में सम्मिलित किया जाए।
माध्यमिक शिक्षा सेवा चयन समिति के पूर्व अध्यक्ष डॉ धनंजय गुप्ता जी ने अपने उद्बोधन में कहा कि हमें अपने पूर्वजों को याद करने की परंपरा को निरंतर जारी रखना है जो समाज अपने पूर्वजों को विस्मृत कर देता है वह शनै शनै समाप्त हो जाता है। इस कड़ी में भारतीय दोसर वैश्य महासमिति द्वारा प्रांतीय स्तर पर पार्षद जी की जयंती मनाने का प्रयास सराहनीय है।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि, भाजपा नेता गिरजा शंकर गुप्ता ने बताया, पार्षद जी ने अनेक बार स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में जेल यात्राएं की तथा वे फतेहपुर जेल में बंद रहे जहां फतेहपुर ईकाई द्वारा जयंती कार्यक्रम किया गया। वह समाज में व्याप्त कुरीतियों के विरोधी थे तथा महिलाओं की शिक्षा एवं सम्मान के लिए निरंतर कार्य करते रहे।
कार्यक्रम का आयोजन प्रांतीय वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष धीरेन्द्र गुप्ता बबलू, लखनऊ महानगर अध्यक्ष संगम लाल गुप्ता, धर्मेंद्र गुप्ता पप्पी, अशोक गुप्ता ताऊ, विवेक गुप्ता गुड्डू के संयोजन में हुआ।
समारोह को विशेष रूप से प्रांतीय अध्यक्ष श्रीकांत गुप्ता, प्रांतीय महिला कोषाध्यक्ष श्रीमती अल्पना गुप्ता, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष रमेंद्र गुप्ता रम्मे, रमेश शंकर गुप्ता, डॉ आशीष गुप्ता, प्रमोद गुप्ता, गिरीश गुप्ता, रजनीश गुप्ता बॉबी तथा अजय गुप्ता काया ने सम्बोधित किया। कार्यक्रम का सफल संचालन संगम लाल गुप्ता जी ने किया।

Celebrating the Legacy of Shyam Lal Gupta
The Indian Dosar Vaishya Mahasabha, under the leadership of its Provincial President Sunil Kumar Gupta, celebrated the 127th birth anniversary of Padma Shri Shyam Lal Gupta, the revered composer of the Indian national flag song, “Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Pyara”.
The celebrations were held on September 11th, Sunday, and were observed with great enthusiasm across all districts of Uttar Pradesh and in other states. Special programs were organized to commemorate the life and contributions of this freedom fighter, educator, journalist, and the composer of the iconic national flag song.
